Sanskriti Nideshalaya (Directorate of Culture), Uttarakhand, Dehradun
All activities related to Department of Culture, at the Head level are accomplished by the Directorate of Culture and looks after as well as instructs all government bodies and autonomous institutions subordinate to the Department. Nestled in the Himalayan Region of India, Uttarakhand has its own distinct culture. The Directorate of Culture was established in 2001, with the vision to protect, elevate and develop the State’s historical, archaeological and artistic treasures.
Sanskriti Bhawan (Security Home), Pauri
Sanskriti Bhawan (Security Home) was established at the District Headquarters, Pauri, for organizing official as well as unofficial seminars and cultural programs at National and International level.
Regional Archaeological Unit, Pauri
Regional Archaeological Unit was established in Pauri with the objective of raising awareness towards archaeological remnants and its handling and protection, maintenance of State protected Memorials, extraction of important archaeological sites and survey of archaeological resources scattered around the State’s Garhwal region.

Regional Archaeological Unit was established in Almora with the objective of raising awareness towards archaeological remnants and its handling and protection, maintenance of State protected Memorials, extraction of important archaeological sites and survey of archaeological resources scattered around the State’s Kumaon region.
Rangmandal, Almora
Rangmandal, Almora was established in the Kumaon Region with the objective of orderly and all round development of theatrical art and organizing relevant theatre camps in backward/under developed areas, providing proper guidelines as well as keeping alive the genuine/original form of popular folk plays, folk dance and folk songs in the various areas of the State.

रंगमण्डल
उत्तराखण्ड की गौरवमयी लोक पारम्परिक सांस्कृतिक विरासत भारत वर्ष में ही नहीं अपितु पूरे विश्व में अपना अलग स्थान रखती है पवित्र गंगा, यमुना के उदगम स्थल एवं मनीषीयों-ऋषियों की तपस्थली, वेद पुराणों के रचना केन्द्र, देव भूमि के नाम से ख्याति प्राप्त इस क्षेत्र को विशेष महत्व दिया गया है धर्म और दर्शन के साथ-साथ यहां के साहित्य कला एवं संस्कृति से जुडे हर पहलू ने भी सहस्त्रों वर्षों से भारतीय संस्कृति को परिस्कृत किया है इसी परिप्रेक्ष्य में उत्तराखण्ड प्रदेश की पौराणिक आध्यात्मिक एवं पारम्परिक लोक सांस्कृतिक धरोहर के संरक्षण-संवर्द्धन एवं व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार तथा प्रदेश की सुविचारित सांस्कृतिक नीति को मंच के माध्यम से आमजनमानस तक पहुंचाने हेतु पूर्वावर्ती राज्यों संस्कृति विभाग, उत्तर प्रदेश द्वारा जून, 2000 को देहरादून एवं अल्मोडा में रंगमण्डल की स्थापना की गई.
रंगमण्डल देहरादून उत्तराखण्ड की लोक संस्कृति के उन्नयन हेतु लगातार प्रयासरत कलाकारों को रंगमंच प्रदान करने एवं सुदूरवर्ती क्षेत्रों में लोक संस्कृति के उन्नयन हेतु कार्यरत लोक कलाकारों के जीवन स्तर को ऊपर उठाना है इसके अतिरिक्त रंगमण्डल देहरादून अपनी स्थापना की प्रतिपूर्ति एवं प्रदेश की विलुप्त होती पौराणिक लोक सांस्कृतिक परम्पराओं एवं ऐतिहासिक जीवन मूल्यों को संजोये रखने हेतु प्रतिबद्ध है.
उत्त्राखण्ड की विलुप्त होती ऐतिहासिक लोक सांस्कृतिक विरासत यथा-लोकगीतों, लोकनृत्यों, लोक कलाकारों की पारम्परिक जीवन्त कला शैली को अनुरक्षण एवं सुदूरवर्ती क्षेत्रों की लोक संस्कृति के व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु लोक प्रशिक्षण कार्यशालाओं का आयोजन एवं लोक नाट्य क्षेत्र में कार्यरत कलाकारों को मंच उपलब्ध कराकर उपेक्षित लोक कलाओं को संरक्षित किया जाना है इसके अतिरिक्त प्रदेश के सुदूरवर्ती क्षेत्रों में जीवन यापन करने वाले प्रतिभावान लोक कलाकारों को, जो अपनी आर्थिक स्थिति के कारण अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन नहीं कर पाते हैं, ऐसे योग्य कलाकारों को रंगमण्डल, देहरादून द्वारा मंच उपलब्ध कराया जाता है रंगमण्डल के लोक सांस्कृतिक दल ने अब तक कई मंचों पर उत्तराखण्ड की लोक संस्कृति पर आधारित कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किये हैं रंगमण्डल देहरादून द्वारा अब तक किये गये कार्यों का संक्षिप्त विववरण निम्नवत् हैं.
